Midthunder is one of the citizens of Fort Peck's Assiniboine and Sioux Tribe. Her mother was a casting lass and she attended the Academy for Technology and the Classics in Santa Fe. She was raised on the Navajo Nation, in Shiprock. Amber has Native American ancestry on her father's side. Both of them are part of the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber is adopted with an adopted mom as such, which is why Amber is not of recognized mixed ancestry.
